Optimising Business Opportunities
Employment Prospects
The completed Aquatic & Sports Leisure Park will generate in the order of 1,100 ongoing full time jobs necessary to manage and operate this entire facility. Additionally, during its development, around 3,690 direct full time jobs onsite and around 5,520 indirect full time jobs offsite will be generated. The aggregate will be over 10,300 full time jobs for residents in and around Aylesbury Vale.

Beyond the proposed water based core development are the supporting but adjunt ancilary staged development nodes that will provide a wide range of ongoing employment and mixed business opportunities over a considerable period of time.
Dual Carriageway Link Road
By means of improving transports links for the community and to also enhance business, a dual carriageway link road is proposed within our site location to connect the A413 and A418, facilitating better access by vehicle to the Aquatic & Sports Leisure Park.

This will contribute towards minimising traffic build up and eliminating disruption to current traffic flows. Good local transport links, combined with Aylesbury being within 49 minutes of Heathrow Airport and well situated for London, immediately opens up the area's appeal as an attractive place to do business and for visitors to enjoy their leisure time.

Longevity of Benefits
The core development, as well as the ancillary facilities, will be delivered in stages over a 10 year period.  The extended development period is designed to create a continuous development cash flow that will benefit jobs associated with the ongoing construction and businesses in the community. This is in sharp contrast to the traditional approach of a surge in development at the outset which leads to a lull afterwards.
Increased Investment
The Aquatic & Sports Leisure Park will provide a focus for increased investment in the area, which has been historically underwhelming. Along with a water based leisure park of 125 acres (50Ha), the intial phase will come with attractive hotels and a number of longer term facilities which will enhance the leisure hub, offering a wide range of opportunities for businesses and employment.

A Centre of Excellence
Due to the scheme’s magnitude, the necessary skills base required for the project will be adjunct to its development, creating a local ‘centre of excellence’ in the skills essential to operate and maintain a technologically based leisure park.  Such training will embrace all sectors of employment and generate new opportunities in  Aylesbury Vale.

Working together for a stronger Aylesbury Vale
Legacy to Aylesbury Vale
The Aquatic & Sports Leisure Park Development Scheme's intentions are to provide Aylesbury Vale with a leisure facility tailored to optimise the opportunities to local businesses. Expected to generate at least 2 million visitors per annum, with at least 30% staying overnight in Aylesbury or nearby,  it provides the perfect platform for community aspirations to combine with world class development expertise to create feasible outcomes in a sustainable framework within the area.

The legacy to the Aylesbury Vale area is a significant increase in economic growth, with greater opportunities for small businesses, individuals and the community in general.  The net benefit to the governing authority is an increased rate base, a financially healthier and more cohesive community along with the capacity to provide and maintain community facilities in line with world’s best practice.
